Black Tiger Prawns (Penaeus Monodon) 

Tiger Prawn a marine crustacean that is widely reared for food. It is also known as the Black Diamond Shrimp. These prawns are farmed around the world in earthen ponds that are close to estuarine parts of river systems or bays. Both sexes reach approximately 36 cm long, and females can weigh up to 650 g, making it the world’s largest species of prawn. Prawns are graded according to the number of prawns per pound (445 grams) or per Kilo (1000gms) They come in different sizes, textures and are very versatile seafood, which can be cooked in a variety of ways, from very simple to extravagant. Great for BBQ’s and al-fresco dining.
